The short version, in plain words.

Sophia Studies is run by one person in the United States. By creating an account you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child whose schoolwork you upload. The service is offered in the United States only.

You hold the login and the password. Your child studies on your session and never gets an account. Don't share the login outside your household, and don't upload another family's child's work.

Upload only material you're allowed to use — your child's study guides, worksheets and notes. Crop out a name, school or teacher if it's on the page; the study content is all that's needed. You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to process it only to build your study sets, and nothing else.

• Free: one study set, ever — a bounded preview (up to 10 pages, 20 flashcards, 2 practice tests, 6 pictures). Practice on it is unlimited.
• Test Week Pass ($9): one more study set, built at full size, plus unlimited practice for seven days. It ends on its own; nothing renews.
• Family Pass ($79 a year): up to 4 new study sets a month, any subject, for a year from the day you buy it. One payment; nothing renews.
• Practice on study sets you've already made is never metered, on any plan, including after a pass ends.

If a pass didn't do what the pricing page says, email within seven days and it's refunded — no form and no argument. If a study set comes out wrong, tell us and we'll regenerate it at no cost or refund the pass. A failed build never uses up your allowance.

It builds practice from material you provide and asks your child questions about it. It does not do homework, write assignments, or hand over answers to turn in. It can misread a photograph or write an awkward question — the guide from the teacher is always the last word. We don't promise any particular grade or result.

You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time. We can close an account that abuses the service or uploads material it shouldn't; if we do that without cause, any unused pass is refunded.

The service is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida. If we change them, the change is posted here and dated, and material changes are emailed to the address on your account.
